What are 'real food nutrients from Standard Process'? Sounds like

marketing hype to me.

Any decent whole/superfood 'supplement' should do the trick - I like the

stuff from the raw food guys (www.rawfood.com) - was Natures First Food,

but they changed the name recently...

Standard Process is pretty unique in the vitamin field. Why don't you do

a search and find out some info? Basically, it's concentrated natural

food souces of nutrients they use. Recently, SP products helped me settle

down

an unruly liver-gallbladder. I use a mix of other supplements with SP

products, but when there is a really serious problem SP seems to always

have something that is important in the treatment. I believe that you can

only get SP through doctors, because you need to know how to use them

properly.

Hi Obie,

Standard Process is probably one of the highest quality line of organic food

based supplements in the world. (not a statement I make lightly)

While I'm very familiar with Dr West's work with CHD, and many other conditions,

I cannot say that I " know " that his results are real or true. However, I do

" believe " that they are.

If I, or a family member, was at risk for CHD I would not hesitate in following

Dr West's protocol with the SP supplements.

Thank you Sharon for your reply. As I think about the several replies I've

received, I'm beginning to think that I misworded my original post. I am

seeking verification or not that Congestive Heart Disease is, in fact,

beriberi of the heart which is easily disposed of by nutritious foods; not

whether or not Standard Process has something that's good for it. Perhaps I

erred by including that detail. Do we have an idea about this, please?

Obie.

Obie,

I think this might be a difficult one to 'prove', simply because the highest %

of research monies goes to orthodox medicine. I imagine that no graduate of a US

medical school ever heard of CHD described as beri-beri of the heart!

Perhaps a search on the 'net for a description of the effects of CHD might lead

one to endorse West's assertion.

I find it very plausible........

But I'm still a 'layman'
