Guest guest
Hi , I got those, too, but I also got them from Kathy P.'s email (evchk96@...). That kind of tipped me off that Connie and Kathy probably are clueless that their machine has the virus, and that this was one of those " attach to list " automatic email viruses--lord only knows who's machine it actually started on--everyone who had " sent " it to me was on the list. Thank God I downloaded nothing. This is the second time this has happened to me on this list. Traci
Guest guest
Traci, I have received several attachments with virus' as well. My antivirus software has been catching them, but I wonder if the list could be set to not take attachments for a while? Sharon

Guest guest
The virus being passed is the BadTran32. It gets sent autimatically by the infected systerms e-mail program. All users should 'Disconnect form the internet' and then try to scan your system for the virus!! Attachments coming from list Hi everyone, I'm getting a large number of attached files coming to me from various members on the list. They come to me in bursts under various names/email addresses from the list, but they are emailed to me personally..not the list. Unfortunately, my virus software tells me the files are infected, so I'm not downloading any of them. It could be just macros in the files that my software is reading as viruses, but I wondered if anyone else was getting this? It seems to be the same document coming from everyone (doc.scr). Can anyone clear up the mystery, or has the list been hacked? Am I the only one having this problem? Guest guest
yes they are infected...the biggest key is the last line " please look to the attachment " we have tried to eliminate this from another list I am on and unfortunately it keeps showing up... Guest guest
Traci - Well, I am also getting messages from my Norton anti-virus track that some attachments to posts are infected with the " Badtrans " virus. I am simply deleting them as I went through this four months ago and do not want to go through it again!!! Guest guest
Traci - I'm getting alot of emails from " Connie " <craji@... with attachments that I cannot read since my service cannot accept attachments. I have repeatedly replied that I cannot read the attachments but have not heard back. Guest guest
All the ones I received were from Connie so her system must be infected. I use hotmail who thankfully scans all attachments for viruses. Guest guest
Dear All, I know my e-mail had this virus. I am working on getting rid of it. It has been hell. I got it from another list I belong to. DO NOT OPEN ANY ATTACHMENTS. That is how you get it. It sends e-mail to other people with your name on it, even though it's not your mail. Sorry, KathyP Re: Attachments coming from list Hi , I got those, too, but I also got them from Kathy P.'s email (evchk96@...).
