Guest guest
Hi All, From winter, spring to summer (1/18 - 7/5), I finally finish 6-month treatment. In order to save money, I did viral load check at 12- week, it was undetectable. Now, I need to do next viral load check around mid Aug, and the other one at end of December. According to my doctor, most of the side effects abate over the next month...and if I remain virus negative 6 months from now, there is less than a 0.1% chance that the virus will ever come back. ...doctor also said that we now have 19 year data for some of the brave souls who were first treated in the late 1980's and it appears that they are still negative today--so we are considering this a cure. I am so glad that I made this decision going for treatment, even without health insurance. I am so grateful that the best odds are on my side (genotype 2). I hope I could do something to help others fight this virus. dcrlin
