How much is that from surgery -- like 38 pounds or is it more? As for the healing, I was there with the DS, took me far longer than I wanted but it DID heal. Call Dr. K's office for advice, as well as seeing the other surgeon. Another suggestion: Dr. K had me email him a digital photo of my incision, and he was able to tell that it didn't need to be opened up (like my PCP wanted) and I just needed more antibiotics, Q-tip treatment and time. Dr. K is wonderful about looking at these digital shots and knowing what needs to be done. Hugs and blessings (and happy healing), Ann
Guest guest
Dang, Girl, I feel for you. I have been healing for a full year! Don't be *a-scared* but mine tore apart at the very same spot. As long as it is little, you will have no problem. Mine was a HUGE spot--about 4 inches by 4 inches! You have nothing to worry about. Keep the *spot* dry and keep some type of pad on it to keep it relatively germ free. have you called Daddy K at the office to ask his opinion!! If not, do so post haste. Jim _____ From: Tops@... It is very ugly or was. I think the reason that my mond is up so high is because I had to heal from the inside out and that drew it up more. I have hair on my pelvic bone..lol Would I have the tt again I don't know,I do like the flat tummy,It is very tight, even without any pantys on I feel like I have a girdle on. I think I had to go thru all this to learn some things and God has done some teaching to me about it. I am in no hurry to do anything anymore,I just let nature take its course.Patience I have learned to have and I did not ask for any,but guess God thought I needed some..lol You will heal,my hole in the tummy from the ds took 92days to heal, as you can see I am not a good healer, but this last surgery my last scab fell off a couple days ago:so I am getting better and so shall you. God bless 3 lbs and under 200,how cool is that??? IT WILL HAPPEN SOON!!!! Pat > > >

Guest guest
Ann thanks so much for answering... >A heartbeat away from ONEderland -- Congratulations, ! How much is >that from surgery -- like 38 pounds or is it more? I lost 27.7 pounds from the surgery and have lost 9 since then. Slow but still coming off. I would really like to hear what Dr. K thinks as well as this surgeon I am going to consult. It will help me know if it is the right course of action. If need be I'll catch a flight to Fresno and drive down to Delano for a day. >Hugs and blessings (and happy healing), >Ann Hasn't stopped me from feeling pretty darn good and now I am feeling well enough to try on some new clothes! woo hoo! Guest guest
II remember being told never to pray for patience.. that it can mean a LESSON to be learned. I don't think I made that mistake I am feeling impatient to get on with this though. I need to calm down and just appreciate the miracle that both my surgeries really have been in my life. Thanks for sharing your story. Big Hugs! Guest guest
Thanks Marta! I can't believe how responsible I feel for not healing right. But I really have been following all the Doctors orders! I have a lot more fatty tissue on my front to impede blood flow than you do! But gosh the difference is still amazing me every day. Life is good! Hugs! In a message dated 12/31/2003 6:11:54 PM Pacific Standard Time, mjs93311@... writes: , dont feel bad. This happened to me, also. Slow Hmmm, , I wouldn't call that slow. LOL I think you are doing great! How exciting to be trying on new clothes. I have been wearing the same size pants since August, due to the hernia. I can't wait to get rid of it -- one more month and a couple of days! Hugs and blessings, Ann
Guest guest
Alica, I am WAYYYYYYYYY behind on posts... but just caught this. Im sorry sweetie. I *know* how frustrating it is to not heal as you expected. I seriously think you should ask Dr. K for his opinion. Do you want me to bring my digital camera on Sunday? Lemme know. (email me cause I haven't been on list in a while) Hopefully we wont get snowed in. (It's snowing here like crazy right now) I am still healing from my August Surgery in two spots so I know how you feel. Mine reopened and doubled in size in November when I was on vacation.... I was SOOOO upset. But it happens. It's now back to where it was, but it was a 4 week setback. SETBACKS SUCK!!! Go easy on yourself. This isn't a race remember ok? (I keep telling myself this) You don't have to be an over achiever on how fast you heal <grin> (I tell myself this too <g>) Love ya, --Kym > I feel like a failure. Guest guest
Yes Sharon you did tell me.. But did I believe you?? Nooooooo In the middle of this amazing miracle I still can't believe it. I am just giddy at the thought of under 200. It so far exceeds the dreams I had when I had the DS. I never ever dared to think I could look as thin as you pretty ladies at 's. Your an inspiration to me for sure! Hugs! PS your right that skirt is too big! I'll have to pass it along since I can't sew a lick.
