Guest guest
,If the beta coherence is really there, and not the result of EMG muscle tension, getting it to release is often a very valuable part of training, so I'd keep working on it--or NOT working on it. Getting into the synchronous alpha state feels a lot the same as reduced beta coherence. Using the TLC design for Options--Synch One-Band (you can select to work with delta, theta, alpha or gamma. The design graphs the levels in each band, so you can track them all while training any one. Switching from one frequency to another can literally be done with the click of a button while training is taking place. The Options--Synch Two-Band design trains alpha synchrony and one other band selected by the trainer between theta and gamma. I don't recall if you are training synchrony Fz and Pz are a good combination to increase alpha and theta, then alpha and gamma synchrony. Again, you can switch the second band in the middle of a session by clicking a button. I haven't personally done much gamma-along training. I think F3 and F4 are good sites for that. Glad to hear you're doing well. Congratulations!PetePete-- Van Deusenpvdtlc@...http://www.brain-trainer.com USA 678 224 5895BR 47 3346 6235The Learning Curve, Inc. I have been brain training for the last 3 months or so with Pete, and I have to say it's one of the best decisions I've ever made. It was quite challenging to get started, but with a bit of research and perseverance I am now getting very good results. My first introduction to neurofeedback was using the zengar system. I had a great results but I refused to pay $10K for a system. Also it was a 2 hour drive to the only practitioner near me. I contacted Pete and did some further research and was able to get started. My main area of interest was with peak performance as I have a fairly stressful challenging work schedule. I highly recommend reading the book " Getting started with neurofeedback " by Demos. I wouldn't recommend doing self training to anyone who is not confident with fairly technical equipment. My job involves handling $80M equipment and I think I may have frustrated Pete with a few of my questions at times ;-) We got there in the end though. My training protocol involves lowering multichannel coherence, alpha beta synchrony and alpha theta training. One or more of these protocols is really having a positive effect on my outlook. (life seems brighter and I'm very upbeat and positive). Is there any written material on what the typical symptoms of each protocol are after training? ie what to expect to feel like after training? I haven't managed to lower my Beta coherence significantly. Is this something that takes a fair bit of time? Or should it happen within the first 5 sessions? I have also come across 40hz gamma training and read some material on this. Can the Gamma training protocols be experimented with without having a TLC assessment? After hearing about the results some people have reported, I'd love to try them. I am based in Melbourne Australia and travel interstate regularly, if there are any other trainers in Australia who would like to get in touch feel free to send me an email. Thanks again Pete for all your help. It was well worth the effort.
