Hey Kathy B. in Chicago,

I'm not sure what Dr. G. does for that, but my daughter and i have horrible

immune systems and we both take Kutapressin injections and she takes gamma

globulin injections IM. That works well for us.

AT the DAN Conference, there was talk of using Transfer Factor to build up

NKC's and the immunce system in general. I ordered some for my son.

inflammation, infection or for the immune system in general? That was the

Hi TIna,

Who prescribes the gamma globluin for you? I really think the Kutapressin is

a great drug. Colin was on it for 3 months every day and we saw a real

improvement with him. We are now at every other day and I would like to go

back to every day. I am really thinking the Kutapressin may be the medicine

that has helped bring our alpha inteferon down. We also don't have any IGE.

Wow, this whole thing is so mind boggling!! I guess, if there is something

wrong, then we at least have something to fix and maybe Colin will get better

and better! I am hopeful! Thanks for your response. Kathy B (Chicago)

Dear Kathy B,

You have given a beautiful example as to why the protocol at this

time takes 3-4 years and why some children have to be on maintenance therapy

after finishing the protocol. I might also add this is also why the other

therapies just do not do the job. The immune system is complex and it takes

years to normalize. What you can do is to be vigilant about reducing triggers

and sticking with the protocol. All of this may become more rapid when we

have some good immune modulators to work with but unfortunately that is not

yet the case! Kathy R - Northern New York

I found out about it at the DAN Conference. All I know is that it's derived

from colostrum, seems like a concentrated form of the immune fighters in it.

On the charts they had it showed that colostrum had about a 23% improvement

to the immune system, echinechea 34%, transfer factor 100 something percent

and transfer factor plus had a 243% improvement in nkc's. I'm still finding

out more about it. I can let you know what I find out if you'd like. I also

have the number for the distributer if you want. I ordered some but have not

received it yet.

Dr Goldberg has alot of information on TF on his website. If you go into

the conference area and search on Transfer factor, there are 17 messages. I

would read what he has to say about it.

Good luck and God bless.

I have been using Transfer Factor for about 2 years and having wonderful

success for a non toxic, 100% safe, no side effects, and all natural this is

absolutely the best product anywhere on the market. It has helped with many

of our problems for an IMMUNE MODULATING product to control the overactive,

underactive immune system. Does not matter which you have it will modulate

it.

Tina, Is there a coalition for in Southern California? Who orders your

Kutapressin?? I have been to see Dr. Galpin next door to Dr. G. and my son

just had his first appt. with Dr. G. I was on Kutapressin for 6 months or

less in 1989 and it helped tremendously. The protocol at that time was a

limited period of time to use the product. I have and so does my son

who is 16. Two sisters severely involved with the illness and two other sons

were not diagnosed officially but probably have it too.

I woul like to say that I have been trying to give you all information about

Transfer Factor for over a year ... noone would listen to me ... now

apparently Dr. Goldberg who would never respond to me has decided that I

knew about these products and were all they claimed to be with the medical

research and science behind them ... I wish someone would listen when post

are made and do the research even if Dr. Goldberg does not recommend it at

that time...It could simply be because he has not heard of it or had the

time to research yet. And I have taken nasty emails from my post simply

because I have done my research and I have been using Transfer Factor or

over 2 years and trying to help other ... I do not understand why so many

won't listen unless a Doctor says do it !!!! Could someone please explain

to me why that is?

I've been hearing alot and reading up on this myself the past couple

of weeks. In your post, it sounded like you had heard Dr. G. say that

this is alright after all. Is that correct? I'm not bashing, just

interested in giving this to my son too. My son has any OVER active

nkc count, so will this " cool it down " so to speak? I found

some that is made for kids, it's in gummie bear form I believe, and

has some other great stuff in it to that my son needs very badly.

Where do you get yours and what form does it come in? Thanks in

advance.

Sincerely,

Diane B.

I thought that this post gave the message that Dr. Goldberg is now endorsing

the use of Transfer Factor. That is not the case. While he is interested

in its contents and processing he still cautions against it on the basis of

triggering the wrong things in the immune system. Remember, much of what he

advises has to do with eliminating rather than adding things to the system.

Kutapressin as well as other aspects of Dr. G's protocol have helped me

immensely as well. Get in contact with the chapter in So. Cal. They

are supportive, knowlegable folks. There is also a possibility of a

That is great that you are having great success and that you think it is due

to transfer factor. Your opinion, however valid, is anecdotal and not a

scientific study. No one has a right to insult anything that you post

however, everyone has the right to question in a polite, fair way. People in

the health care fields are given credibility for medical decision making

because they have the education, training, and experience that lay people do

not have. If we have a plumbing problem we call a plumber, if I want a new

telephone line I call the telephone company. We all go to specialists! I

would not go to my dentist, who is very good, for a hair cut. Why would I

take information from a stranger on the web and apply it to the health and

well being of my little girl? When people bring their kids to me they are not

bringing them because I am a nice person, but because I have a body of

knowledge, and area of expertise, consisting of years of education and thirty

years of experience. I would hope that my opinion in the area of my expertise

has more credence than someone who does not have my credentials. This does

not mean that a person without a healthcare background cannot do research and

make some observations and draw some brilliant conclusions but is this

someone who should be providing healthcare information? The value of

education sometimes is to make you learn how little you really do know.

Knowledge does a times equate to power but that power has to be handled very

prudently. Kathy R -Northern New York

Kathy,

This may be true. However, I can't tell you how many times I've been misled

by the " educated " . The doctor who originally diagnosed my son would not

label him with anything, but only told me there was something " really wrong "

and I should look into special schools. Where was I supposed to go with

that?

Most often, I walk into the local doctors office and I end up being the one

telling the doctor about the research, science, etc that I have read/heard

about. It is very discouraging that most docs are not up to date about

what's out there for our kids. My kids primary care physician told me that

he believes the increase in " autism " is due to better

diagnosis......(thankfully, in spite of this, he has been very supportive of

working with Dr G (ordering tests, etc), and consulted with him about what Dr

G believes is going on with my kids and how Dr G is treating them).

I think, as parents, it's our job to get as much information as possible. We

are the ones who ultimately have to decide which direction to take with these

kids, and we have to live with the results.

Sharon

P.S. It was actually the internet that led me to Dr Goldberg. I spent six

months reading over his website and checking out the facts before I made the

decision to make an appointment for my child. Sharing information is a good

thing, but you are right, it is our responsibility to check it out before

applying it.

Tina, Thank you so much for the information on Kutapressin and the Southern

California Coalition. I have a very important question that I need to

find an answer to ASAP. Do you know of any resource- especially comments

written by Dr. G. re: Stimulants for children? I read his article on

Ritalin and the information for ADD/ADHD on the web site for Dr. G. is under

construction. I need to know in particular about the effect of amphetamines

such as Dexedrine on the brain and resulting behavior and risks vs any

benefits.

Thank you so much for your help.

Sharon,

I don''t disagree with you. We are all people with the peculiarities that go

with that! Narrow mindedness, closed mind, fear, prejudice...All of the

blocks to communication that make life so hard. Many of the practitioners who

are difficult to work with might be amenable to new ideas if we had the time

to really sit down and explain it but the present health care system simply

does not allow for that in my experience. I really still think that many of

the people that go into health care go into it because they do want to help

people. Yes, we as parents have to do research and I think that includes

coming up with health care providers that are supportive. It is sometimes not

easy but everyone who is successful paves the way for another family!

Remember the physician who treats himself has a fool for a patient. There are

many people in the organization who are self educated lay people who

have a fantastic command of a difficult body of knowledge. There are also

people on this LISTSERV who don't, but this does not stop them from

dispensing medical advice! This really disturbs me. Again, just because

someone thinks that a product is helping their child does not mean that a. it

really is or that b. it would help someone else's and c. it won't harm

someone else's. Kathy -Northern New York

Kathy,

Totally agreed. I just wouldn't want anybody to feel afraid of sharing

experiences. It is definitely our responsibility to read between the lines

and check it out. I hope that we are all intelligent enough to realize that

internet advice is just that. The internet is not my physician, but it has

been a good source of information and leads (look at how I found out about

).

I do agree with you about some of the advice Kathy. Unfortunately, this is a

disease with a million " miracle " cures. I personally would just like a magic

pill please :-)
