Hi Kim,

I have been on vacation but wanted to wish you and everyone else a

Happy New Year.

It's taking me a while to get caught up here, but hopefully by the

time I AM caught up, I will be discovering that things are looking

better for us all.

Hi Tom,

How was your trip? Take any photos? My mom is getting over the bug she

picked up but at a snails pace. We tried to get her to go into the

hospital a couple of times, once even got her into a room only to have

her sign out AMA an hour later. I think her system was out of whack too

from anitbiotics so I got her some L. acidophilus to help her get over

her constant diarrhea. They had done all the stool cultures that came

back negative so I figured she needed to do something. It seems to be

working and she is back to the daily radiation treatments. I drive out

to her home and then to the hospital with her every weekday so I may

post sporadically.

I got a digital camera for Christmas and took a whole mess of them,

but somehow didn't save the ones of the Smokies.

Raven and I and her Cub went to Mammoth Cave, the Smokies, Ripley's

Aquarium in the Smokies, another cave, Metropolis Illinois (home of

Super Man - Their town newspaper really is The Daily Planet), a

bunch of Illinois State Parks, down part of Route 66, and to

Lincoln's tomb, and also to two zoos.

I hope all goes well for your mother, and it is good that you are

taking care of her.
