Is Sculptra the only filler currently FDA approved " specifically " for the treatment of LDS? Can those of us on Medicare immediately start looking for a Sculptra doctor that participates in Medicare or will it take a while? Will a Sculptra doc agree to treat if I have previously had Bio-A and PMMA injections? I hadn't really thought seriously about Sculptra after getting the other injections, but I am now. I need some work on my face but can't afford it. With Medicare paying and Sculptra docs nearby, maybe I can get the work done now. This sounds like really good news. > > MEDICARE NEWS > > For Immediate release Contact: CMS Office of Media Relations > March 23, 2010 (202) 690-6145 > > > MEDICARE EXPANDS COVERAGE FOR TREATING FACIAL LIPODYSTROPHY SYNDROME IN PEOPLE LIVING WITH HIV > > > The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) today announced its decision to cover facial injections for Medicare beneficiaries who experience symptoms of depression due to the stigmatizing appearance of severely hollowed cheeks resulting from the drug treatment for Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). Today’s decision is effective immediately. >
