Keep it simple. Do what's practical and weigh your options. Get a cd walkman or whatever plays your music. Play soundscapes or relaxing new age. for Brittany Spears shows musical taste :-)

PS I like a wide range of music and also appreciate and value silence

too :-) the sound of silence is often music to my ears :-)
