"I was feeling rather comfortable after following on here and hearingof peoples experience with PMMA and having made an appointment for nextNovember for my Face and Butt with Dr. Casavantes. But now am worried aboutwhat I am hearing now that if you lose weight the PMMA will show in yourface. I just lost 24lbs through eating healthier, I am naturally slim buthad gained a belly and wanted to lose it. "First, congratulations on the weight loss. It's not easy. Unfortunately, when we fight to control the belly, we may make facial changes more pronounced, in some cases. My guess would be that by the time that most people get treatment for facial lipoatrophy that there is actually very little residual fat in the face to lose, so I find this discussion a bit surprising. With more subtle changes, especially with the more benign drugs we use now, perhaps this is more of a problem. I would wonder if some of the nodules described are not just PMMA, but granulomas. PMMA granules themselves are pretty small. In 's case, where nodules appeared after inactivity post surgery, I'd wonder if a bit of muscle atrophy allowed deep granulomas, usually not seen, to become visible. (What do you think, ?)JB
