Guest guest
Hi Rich I have never heard that neupo can make the INF shot less effective,,so I dont know. Maybe Liz will come by and have an answer for you on this,, or Janet.. I took my neupo right before I did my INF and it didnt seem to interfere.. but everyone is different. I dont think its a big deal for the dental work unless your WBC's are low so that if you were to get an infection, it might be harder to cure if your immune system is low.. I had a tooth pulled while on tx and I had no problem with it.. I think it depends on what is wrong and what they want to do,, sometimes you might put your health more at risk to wait to have dental care,, such as having an abcess or something like that.. I'd certainly discuss it with my doc and or the dentist before I had anything done and see what their take is on it.. My gastro said it was jut fine to have dental work done,,but then again, HE is the one who wanted to keep reducing my Riba instead of giving me procrit,, but then when I finally got it, I found out why he didnt want to give it to me and that was because he'd never written a script for it and didnt know how much to give,, lol,,, I fired him, of course..lolrichlee7 <rnewton8@...> wrote: I was wondering if it matters if i take my nuepogen shot at the same time as my INF shot. i usually take a dose of nuepogen on friday morning then i take my inf shot late friday night. then i usually take another nuepogen shot on sunday night. i read on a post that taking nuepogen at the same time as the interferon shot reduces its effectiveness.please let me know what you guys think? Also, is it OK to have dental work done while on this treatment. i have been on tx for just over seven months now. Thanks,RichJackie
Guest guest
I have never heard that either but will have to check my research stuff . We landed back home after 6hrs in the plane and when I went to boot my computer it kept shutting itself off so until I get to my computer info I am in the dark lol . Guest guest
Like Jackie said I have never heard that taking Neupogen when you take your other shot reduces effectiveness . But I have to do the research before I can say for sure .richlee7 <rnewton8@...> wrote: I was wondering if it matters if i take my nuepogen shot at the same time as my INF shot. i usually take a dose of nuepogen on friday morning then i take my inf shot late friday night. then i usually take another nuepogen shot on sunday night. i read on a post that taking nuepogen at the same time as the interferon shot reduces its effectiveness.please let me know what you guys think? Also, is it OK to have dental work done while on this treatment. i have been on tx for just over seven months now. Thanks,Rich Take the Internet to Go: Go puts the Internet in your pocket: mail, news, photos more. Guest guest
What about sex. Can you explain the current stance on if someone can get it through sex. I was under the impression that it would be highly unlikely to give it to my partner through sex unless it was really rough or something. Also, if you are on treatment and have a undectable viral load at that time would it also be almost impossible to get it through sex. My girlfriend seems to think you can catch it really easy through sex? Guest guest
Heterosexual transmission rates are less than 0.1% , now that can go up if there is anal sex . I was diagnosed in 1985 since then I have married and had 4 children , my husband and all my children tested negative and always do . Rich Newton <rnewton8@...> wrote: What about sex. Guest guest
Please tell your girlfriend that its virtually unheard of to get it via sex unless there is blood to blood contact.. and even then, with monogamous sex, its highly unlikely,, I had it for for years after I was infected and didnt know and neither of my husbands are infected and neither is my daughter whom I had 5 years after I was infected... Honestly I dont know one person who ever got it via sex,, please tell your girlfriend to come here and learn if she is worried.. its very unlikely... jaxRich Newton <rnewton8@...> wrote: What about sex.
