Ta da! The story has been solved. My Gandmothers siblings were Army brats so

now it makes sense! My aunt said we have (Distant)relatives in Bakersfield

also but I don't know who yet. I forgot to ask. Seems to me that once before she

said they were on the Dykes side.... My granny's maiden name....

More info: Delano is on the county line between Kern and Tulare

counties. Hence, Countyline Road where Perkos is.

There is also the town of Tulare, further north. I drive through it

on my way to Visalia every day.

Le Naval station is in Hanford, Tulare cty, right Cindee?

Where Cindee lives in joyous Cin.

Come to think of it, the military man is not focused on appearances

of the wife, I remember that from when I was active duty.

Marta

who felt like a dirty old woman at her son's graduation from

Actually, it's Le Naval Air Station and is fairly close to

Ranch on I-5. (Speaking of Ranch, if more places had the

" atmosphere " that surrounds that place, we wouldn't have an obesity problem

in the U.S.) ;-))
