Thanks for posting this. Please help me (and others) in interpreting the chart. If a drug inhibits a particular cytochrome P-450 system, am I correct in assuming that the the blood levels of drugs listed in the chart in red under "drugs affected" will be increased by taking both drugs together? And conversely, if a drug induces another cytochrome P-450 system, the blood levels of drugs listed in green under "drugs affected" are decreased? Or is it more complex than that?********************************************************someone posted this list on another forum, and while i'm not 100% sure of it, what it says about drugs i'm already familiar with closely matches the medical consensus. if it's accurate (and i strongly suspect it is) it makes a great resource.

my understanding is the same as u posit: generally, when a CYP enzyme is induced, drugs that r affected by it get absorbed more poorly and removed more quickly, and when a CYP enzyme is inhibited, drugs that r affected by it r absorbed better and stay in ur blood longer...with tremendous variation, apparently.Date: Sat, 30 Oct 2010 10:15:37 -0700From: johnrsf94114@...Subject: Re: Cytochrome P450 - Drug Interactions listjeton@...;
