Pat you and my mom are the only people I know that eat spinach with vinegar.

She was raised in Porterville. Is that a central valley thing? 8>) Now

that I think of it...my mom eats weird stuff...haha!

Gosh...Dad lived in Terra Bella and he eats canned tomatoes with torn up

white bread and sugar...No wonder I have an eating disorder...lol

Jeanne,

I am aware of the vinegar thing, but I prefer salt. Spinich is the

other thing I like canned, can't stand the stringy frozen spinach.

My dad ate torn up toast with sugar in a bowl with milk, you know,

like cereal, for breakfast. I think it was a depression era thing.

Oh, my gosh, spinach with vinegar; canned tomatoes, white bread, and sugar.

Now we are talking REAL gourmet food! It's so funny what we humans eat and

love, and yet other members of our family will retch at the mention of that

same food!

My dad used to put Pepper sauce on nearly everything. I couldn't stand the

smell of that, either. Oh, he and mama loved that crap on their beans!

EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!

Jim

Whose delicate palate and system can't take peasant food. LOL Heck, I have

to tell Taco Bell to " hold the sauce " because even that kills me off.

Hi Jeanne!

Add me to the list of people that eat spinach with vinegar (and my

grandmother used to make us canned tomatoes with sugar). Just thought I would

add my

name to the list of strange people.

Wasn't a threat, Marta, it was a wish for the angels to watch over her for

the night and that her sleep is sound and sweet...now on the other hand,

sleeping with the fishes IS a threat! LOL

I like my spinach with butter (the real stuff) parmesan cheese, and

garlic....yum! Pepper sauce could be a good addition...I'll have to try it

sometime.

Oh Ann sweetie, I didn't mean you dear friends are strange...I was

just trying to figure out where the custom of eating vinegar on spinach came

from.

Now a " strange " thing our family eats are spaghetti sandwiches. Cooked

spaghetti with sauce on white bread with Miracle Whip....yum. I only know of

one other person that loves them like we do...and she is from .
