,It certainly wouldn't hurt to update the firmware after 6 years!As to whether this temperature is too high, I'd check on the HEGTherapy group (hegtherapy ), where Jeff Carmen post regularly.  It seems a bit high to me.

I recently received a new pir HEG headset and tested it with my Pocket A3. Using the preset protocol “pIR HEG -> PC†, I am getting readings in the range of 118-120 degrees F, both on the A3 screen and in BioEx running on a PC. The A3 works fine with electrodes or a nIR headset.

Any ideas? Do I need a firmware upgrade on the A3? I have been using it since 2005, without difficulty. Are there parameters on the A3 that must be set in addition to specifying the pIR HEG -> PC protocol?
