Thanks for the advice.  I’ve been

waiting since May to start & they wouldn’t proceed due to an eye

problem.  So now that I have the go-ahead, I am anxious to start and put this

behind me.  I should have been half way finished by now.  I am meeting with the

nurse at the hospital on Friday for my “training” and will discuss

it with her then.

Thanks, Dorothy

TX this week & have questions

I'd sure agree, a couple of more

weeks will not change a thing.

One can't tell how you will respond. I

found the pills to be different

one from the other and one caused me a

problem, one did not.

I found I could work around the

injections, take it right before bed.

Be sure to drink literally a ton of

water, that is the one downfall

of many and it's critical to how you

will feel..

Take your pills every 12 hours, I

set an alarm.. be sure not to take

them on an empty stomach. I used to eat

a half mini bagel with

some protein, a bit of peanut butter or

cream cheese..

I'm sure there are others here that

can add to this..

Best of luck to you, 6 months can fly

by!

Hugs,

Sheena

Dorothy, there is NO REASON to start tx until after the wedding,, thats

My medication was just approved today by

my insurance company for the full 6 months. Seems like I waited so long

and now it’s right on top of me scaring the crap out of me!

I see the RN this Friday for my

“lesson.” She said I can start immediately, but I have a

wedding to attend on Sept 15th and I’m concerned that I may be

too ill. I don’t want to wait until after the 15th and

thought that if I start this Sunday, Sept 2, my next dose will be on the 9th

and then again on the 16th. That would give me 6 days between

the injection and the wedding. I don’t really know how the oral

medication may affect me.

I know that we are all different

and experience many different responses to tx, but any opinions would be

helpful. Does my plan make sense? I’d hate to miss the

wedding and I also know that I may feel perfectly fine so my concerns may not

be an issue.

What can I expect in the first few

weeks of tx? I guess I’m hoping for the best and preparing for the

worst.

Thanks!

Jackie

I drank water constantly on HCV Peg and Copeg treatment. I had no

choice but to carry water everywhere I went. My mouth was extremely

dry and no saliva production.

I still felt like the more I drank the more dehydrated I became. Fo

me due to the meds, I was just always dry. I am not sure how I would

have felt if that had not been the case and I did not drag water

everywhere. I still felt tired , drained and well just plain

exhausted most of the time. My mind wanted to do things, but my body

could not keep up with my ideas!
