Guest guest
Betsy, I had to smile when I read your post! I misspelled my mother- in-law's first name on our wedding invitations. I even had my husband look them over before I sent them in and he said they looked fine. When I asked him why he didn't tell me his mom's name was spelled wrong he said, " I didn't notice. " Men just don't get into the wedding preparation like women do, I guess. Anyway, you're not alone! And for us, it WAS the only thing that went wrong with the wedding so your odds are good! Hugs! Tracey > I am thankful I can say I made a mistake- and not blame it on anyone else! My daughter (36) is getting married for the first time in January. I picked out the invitations, etc., and sent them out last week. Well... E called in tears- I misspelled the grooms last name on the invitation. If that is all that goes wrong with the wedding - we'll be ahead of the game, but > it is hard for her to see that perspective at this point. What a dear child. she left me a message that she had recovered, and forgave me for my goof. > > > Betsy > >
Guest guest
Hi Jo... Steve's surgery seems to have gone well. It was Monday the 12th and we got home from the hospital this afternoon- Friday. It was a 4 hour chisel and hammer job to remove the old cup, put in a new one, and put a new head on the femur. 12 inches worth of staples- toe touch weight bearing on a walker for 6 weeks. Want to quess what I'll be doing for a while? The dr had some questions about the incision, so home health will come check it out. This doc said no wetting the incision til the staples are our in 2 weeks--- clean it with alcohol... I wanted to say... but that is not the way Dr. K does it! I washed my opened incision with dial and a q tip, and it healed just fine-- but what do I know?? So I'll see what the home health people say, and then make up my mind how I will take care of Steve's incision! Jac had an ultrasound that showed no blood clots or injury from the church pew that collapsed on his leg at the beginning of 's wedding. I am very thankful. As to how he is really doing with his weight, etc., I really don't know. Our family operates under the old rules left over from having had an alcoholic father- don't talk, trust, or feel. Gosh-- did we just trade the alcohol for food????lolI wish I could tell you more, but unless I just come out and ask, he never will volunteer anything. He needs to get his DS. Thanks for asking. Just 700 to read and I'll be caught up--I've missed you all. Betsy Betsy Hey Betsy...I am assuming your husbands surgery went fine...and his recovery is going well...or at least you haven't shot him yet??? And while we're on the subject of your family...hows Jac?
