Misty,

I am so glad that Jake has been doing better. I will pray that he continues

to get better while not taking the IVIG. (mom to Hope,6,undiagnosed

immune deficiency,dilated cardiomyopathy)(((HUGS)))

Jake's immunologist called me today and we have decided to take him

off of IVIG for the spring/summer to see how he does. He has been

doing so well for the past year his infections have dropped

dramaticaly. I took him to the Dr. Last week and asked her when was

the last time that he had an infection and she told me September! That

was the whole winter well! I had kinda lost sight of the last time he

was sick because he has been doing so well. Our hopes are to keep him

off 6 months so that he can be re vaccinated with the Pneumovax(SP)

and then redraw his titers to see if he is holding a response. He has

been on IVIG 3yrs now and I am really comfortable taking a " break " to

see how he does but I am just so nervous that he is going to start

getting really really sick again.....I just hope I made the right

decision taking him off of IVIG. I will feel just awful if I made the

wrong decision.
