Because my problems are too difficult to fix. Involving themselves in

them would get them depressed and then THEY'D become

suicidal...somenthing they really could not survive. Other people have

faltered undber less stress that I have endured under, so I know they

could not at all handle my problems.

Are you sure? What about counselors? My husband has done counseling

and has seen a lot. He's known two people with multiple personality

disorder, so as rare as that is, that shows you how much he's seen.

He said there's a lot of people with problems, people you would never

think had problems, and a lot of people have a lot of problems, some

horrible. I saw that too, when I worked at a Psych clinic. I myself

have been through a lot and can often understand what other people

are going through. What about a strong friend? An Aspie? Besides,

they may have faltered under their own stress, but won't under yours.

But a counselor would most likely be better. And you can tell them

anything without worrying about your relationship with them, as you

would with a friend or family member.

I had been in counseling for six years. The outcome of the experience

was that my counselor basically said " Aside from the AS, the problem

is not psychological. You need a lawyer. You need a better boss. You

need for your mom to go into rehab. You need for people to stop

acting so stupid, etc. My problems baffle lawyers, bosses don't grow

on trees, mom won't go into rehab and my dad is averse to an

intervention, and people don't willingly avoid acting stupid, nor do

they change their behavior for the asking.

My problems are too lengthy to go into. Suffice it to say I have

asked for help from the correct and proper sources and have stymied

all of them, or else they made the problems worse rather than better.

To date there is only one person that I feel I can rely on, and she

has so many problems of her own to deal with that I can't ask her for

the help I need right now.
