What worked for me as a miracle was a gadget that you attach to a Water Pick and

cleans your sinuses with salt water like nothing else. It is based on the neti

pot idea, but much more effective and efficient. It was developed by my ENT in

LA (Dr. Grossan) and you can buy it online. I hesitate to post the link so I am

not accused of free publicity for it and for him, even though I am just his

patient, but do a search for " Dr.Grossan " , " hydromed " , and for " pulsatile

irrigation " , and read about it.

For the record I spent most of my like with continuous sinus problems, constant

sinusitis, and difficulty breathing through my nose, for which I almost couldn't

live if I didn't have some nose spray nearby. Since I started with these

irrigations when I start with problems a few years ago, I have never had any

sinus problems anymore. To me, it was truly almost like a miracle. Again, I am

just a patient, but thought I'd share my experience.

I hate to tell you but I did it for 2 weeks and it did absolutely

nothing for me or my partner, we each got a set and nothing, LOL

Perhaps it has to do on the cause of the sinus.

Best thing for sinus is to sleep with your window open just a crack will do,the second best thing is to use advil cold and sinus (2pills) every 8 hours,if you are really bad it will take few days to clear up, some people getbenefits from long hot showers or a hot vapor machine (its the heat that helpsnot the water), try a different antibiotic and even ask your doctor for antifungals, make sure your teeth and gums are OK, sinus infections and tooth infections effect each other because they are so close.And you have probably seen those eyes gel packs at drugs stores, put one in hot waterand use it, it will help with both pain and to clear up your sinuses.mark BFrom: OmieWagner@... <OmieWagner@...>Subject: Netti Pot for Sinus infection Date: Thursday, August 13, 2009, 1:36 PM

I agree, I did not like the neti pot and it is not practical

I use a nasal bulb and it does work great and cost a few bucks

Hi,I've had infection to the sinus cavities for many years. It was so bad that even my teeth were aching. I've used the netti pot but without results. Sinus rinse (by Neil Med), mint and eucalyptus essential oils and sea water microspray was better in providing relief but I always ended on antibiotics at least 4 times a year anyway. 3 years ago, I had a middle meatotomy to treat maxillary sinus disease. Since then, I've been free of sinus infection! Check with your ENT about this minor surgery.
