P&A's to address and request a Ban on Restraint/seclusion rooms

I believe that finally we have been listened to. Parents with

situations like this should not hesitate to call Protection & Advocacy

in their area and report whats going on. ADA 504a Title 2 complaints

should be filed by all that have a valid complaint A.S.A.P. . It does

appear that we are going to see some change for the better.. This is a

call to Ban Time Out rooms/Seclusion Rooms and Restraint by the very

governmental agencies set up to Advocate for children and adults with

disabilities. With Ari and the Self Advocacy Network pushing this as

a strong point made in a recent visit with the the adviser to Obama

and other movements to stop these illegal practices with our kids, I

do believe the call for an all out BAN will result in the end of these

untamed practices of Restraining instead of Educating.
