She is weaning off Paxil without going on another SSRI, if she can. She is also on Lamictal and Geodon because she was diagnosed bipolar a few months ago. Psychiatrists prefer not to keep bipolar people on SSRIs if they can help it. She has been on Zoloft, Prozac, or Paxil for the past 3 years, so I worry about her coming off it completely. She has had a difficult time reaching stability, so he thinks it will help her not to have the SSRI, which can cause additional trouble to a bipolar person. Thanks for all the help.
