Guest guest
Hi, I just came on and I've read through today's posts. I'm wondering how long its been since his diagnoses. And is he on any medication/therapy. Don't think that its a horrible life to look forward to. It has challenges to overcome. And you will see that you will have stories of success, as many of us do. And you will figure out the school issues, as many of us do, but it is an ongoing process, with periods of heartache, and joy. Don't forget to take time for yourself, and time to enjoy your children. Worry can take up all your energy, as you see it is happening to you child. schedule worry free time together. You will get through this, and you are not alone. Everyone here, is available to offer suggestions. and ((hugs)) when you need them. I'm sorry that this is your time of suffering. candice
Guest guest
He was diagnosed with mild OCD (few rituals) about 1.5 years ago, had treatment then and managed to wear shirts with buttons (school dress code stuff). But I caught onto his hand washing about three weeks ago, found piles of towels, etc. and made him fess up. This is much worse. We've been to docs at least two times a week since then but yesterday was the first attempt this time of exposure therapy. Next week we talk to the psychatrist about meds. As much as I hate the idea, I'm praying it will help. Your words of encouragement are much appreciated. You're right. I have to take time to enjoy my kids too. There's so much to be grateful for, and so much there to love. --- candicekadikoff <candicekadikoff@...> wrote: > Hi, I just came on and I've read through today's > posts.
