I don't know if this would help you with the eczema but my son had it and a terrible case of it that would not go away to the dismay of the dermatologist. He scratched at night till he bled and it was worst in joint areas (like behind the knees, elbows). I read in "biological treatments for autism and pdd by william shaw" that if it's the yeast, cortizone (common drugs in the creams to treat the eczema) will make it worsen. The yeast feeds on the cortizone - it also feeds on any type of sugars. My son's dissapeared when we went to the diet, GFCF but I also did corn- free and sugar-free for 6 months - now there's a fun part of my life - so - if it's yeast, you have to check all sources of sugars. I felt like it dissapeared when I took the milk away - another sugar source - and he never tested allergic to milk but we

know he could not break down the milk protein - different issues.

Sorry, I am not familiar with Hirshcsprung' s disease, however for my ASD kid, (and myself, not on the spectrum), eczema and rashes usually cleared up when we discovered 2 triggers and dealt with them: - allergy/sensitivity to chemical products, either a chemical or an artificial scent. Fabric softeners are a usual culprit, or any scented laundry product, or any dryer sheet. Or: soaps, body washes, shampoos, hand soaps with "fragrance" (other than essential oils) or sodium laurel sulfatye or proplyne glycol, or my son's big allergen: soybean oil or "vegetable" anything (oil, for example) often in lotions, liquid soaps, lip balms, etc. Or being around burning scented candles or air fresheners (we use essential oils with no problems). Harsh chemical cleaners: windex, pledge, bathtub cleaners like Tilex, etc.-YEAST.Hope that helps. >> Hi, my son is 5 and has autism and bowel problems due to > Hirschsprung' s Disease (complicated by the autism).
