Guest guest Posted July 17, 2006 Report Share Posted July 17, 2006 Does anyone elses wierd PIDKID(and I mean that in the MOST loving way LOL) have a serious problem with toothpaste? Brennan has never been able to tolerate toothpaste--not any brand, not any flavor. He falls down, screams, puts his hands in his mouth yelling HOT HOT HOT BURNING ME!!!! he will shove towels and washcloths into his mouth if I even try to sneak a little tad on his toothbrush(even if he doesnt see it). HE's been like this since he was a baby, so I know he isnt faking it. He goes every six months to the dentist, and he said just to brush his teeth with water until we find one he can tolerate. Well, we have tried about every kind, and I cant find one. Now, b/c I havent been able to use toothpaste, and he is on so many meds, he is starting to get cavities(and he is only 4!) Oh, and this isnt the kid who has geographic tongue, either, just so we know thats not a factor. I was just wondering if Brennan is the only one like this, or what else we could do.
