Guest guest
Well...tomorrow is our big day. The nursing staff from the representatives of the Beckett program are doing our home visit tomorrow. She is very dedicated to making the most she can of the application process for us as she owuld like to see us succeed at getting the waiver for the girls. I would like to get some feedback from anyone who has successfully navigated the Beckett program to make sure we cover all of our bases. The biggest concern I have...one that we have all faced....is that so many people expect to see really " sick " looking kids....but that is not the case with immune disorders. My children look as healthy as horses (so did the beautiful little girl at the MAW party that has just 2 months to live....that we met last night....you would never have guessed that she was sick). I want to see this succeed....not just for my children, but because we have several families waiting in the wings to see how it goes for us before they apply. So anyone who has feedback...to make sure that I don't miss things that I should make a point of...please chime in. I know I need to make a point fo their dietary needs....their sleeping habints due to sinus issues....their bowel habits.....their SCIG.....I fear that because I have chosen not to use a nurse in our home, that we will be faulted. Thanks in advance for everyones feedback. This is HUGE for us. Terri (mom and both daughters, 4 and 6, CID/PIDD)
