Guest guest
Sally, Since your doc does not do SQ on a regular basis, I would ask the specialty pharmacy how to calculate the dose. I'm thinking that if he is currently 50g, he'd need at least that number divided by 4 per week (~ 12.5g/week). Some docs add 25% more and then do the division...it really depends on the doc. This is a lot of volume to infuse SQ but it is possible. Let me know what happens. Ref: question on Sub-Q , He gets 50 grams of IVIG every 4 weeks. So if he got Sub Q. would that mean he would get the same doseage as IVIG? We have Cigna insurance. And so far Im not happy with them! I hope that they would pay for sub-q. Thanks for the info. I will contact Nufactor and get more info from them. An in service with the doctor is a great idea. That way the doctor can get educated about this. Thanks Sally Blumemnburg Mom to Wesley 9 years old. CVID, IVIG every 4 weeks
