Guest guest
- Macey has a problem with her posterior pituitary. She does not produce ADH (vasopressin) and has to take DDAVP (synthetic ADH) daily. The posterior pit also makes the hormones for lactating and going into labor (lactin and pitocin). So when it comes time to have children we're not sure what will happen. Her demyleniated areas are near the pituitary so this could be associated. She sees a pediatric endocrinologist in Atlanta at Emory Children's clinic. She hasn't had an MRI since she was 6 but it might be time to update.
