Guest guest
I think that it is just starting to really sink in to my husband that Autism is something that his one and only, pride and joy son is always going to have. Jeff loves his son and is such a good Daddy. He is having to deal with the fact that isn't just going to " grow out of it " . We have seen much improvement with though, especially over the past year, and we still have great hope for his future. Jeff is just kind of grieving by throwing himself into his work. I feel for him. I think it is a bit harder for the Dad. He doesn't like to talk about it much. He just supports me getting all the help I can for . In a way it is good though. I take it all so seriously, analize everything half to death and needs one parent that is more easy going. Jeff plays alot with , rough housing, fishing etc. and I'm always tring to help fix . Yesterday Jeff explained to how the engine in his '69 Ford Pick-up truck works and he was so pleased that it held 's attention span for the whole explantaion! =) Jodi
Guest guest
It is tougher on the dad. My DH has a hard time as well. I do all the prep work for IEP's etc... BUT when it comes time for all the meetings my DH catches up to speed and goes in there as if he is a lawyer. He is the one who gets the services. Without him I couldn't do it alone. He recently gave me a card recognizing my hard work and everything I do for my 12yr old son. it brought me to tears. As far as the car. My son is VERY mechanically inclined. He can take things apart and put them back together. He loves electronics. he also excels in science. it must be the way their brains are wired. The are fascinated by very complex things, but the little things just don't get absorbed. B Pinpoint customers who are looking for what you sell.
