He has to want to change why should he you do all the work? Your whole dynamic

of interaction has to change at his and your age probably not - sorry to be so

blunt but that is what you are revealing.

Subject: Is there anything for a adult with ADD?

I wish that there was some help for my husband.

I am the one that is sick with lyme but he is so absent minded.

The stress of it keeps me down. I love him and we have been married

for over 28 years but he is almost like a kid.

He is a excellent reader and can concertrate like that but to talk

with him he just does not hear and will change the subject and never

answer.

Along with this is he looks off the road when he drives and sees

everything that he passes.

We have recently moved and sold our home and then bought more

property and he never read or asks any questions on these contracts.

I am the one that has a hard time understanding things and I have a

very hard time reading.

He just ignores all these important documents that he signs and

after I tell him these are important he still will sign a real

estate contract and never read it.

I love him but the frustration is overwhelming. He is a supervisor

and I always question his ablities because I can't trust his

judgment.

I have talked to my therapist

and my psycharist and they both know him and think he has adult ADD.

I have bought ever suppliment that I have read about for ADD and it

might help some.

It may be completely hopless but if there is anything I can do

please let me know.

The things he does are so numerious to describe. He has endangered

his life many times on lawn mowers, under a car jacked up, with

horses. He would watch out daughter when she was small and if she

took off running somewhere he would just watch while a stanger went

running after her.

Can he be helped?

I am afraid to mention this but he has lots of root canals and

mercury fillings. They are so many that we could never afford to

have them redone.

If that is the problem then I will be stressed until it kills me.

Thanks if anybody listened.
