Guest guest
I agree with . I don't know a lot of people here in Idaho and most of my time is spent with my " kids " (cats). As much as I love them, they are not very good at conversation. Reading even the sillier stuff, gives me an opportunity to smile and giggle. It means so much to me. Guest guest
Guys...I'm going to sound like such a meany which I don't mean to do because I love you all! But, I have to agree with Bob. When I turn on my computer it is sometimes overwhelming because there are so many messages. Sometimes i can have up to 400. Part of what makes it overwhelming is that I want to be able to address person's concerns, pains, etc. that they write about. But if I have to go through hundreds of messages, it can take 3 days to get through all of the mail to get to what is bothering people. Then I feel insensitive that I haven't written to someone sooner. I don't want to divide up the group, but I did want to express my opinion. Guest guest
> Hi Bob, I understand that some are getting overloaded and don't want to deal with our silliness so I hope people will use the ot in the re: line but I do also hope people will continue to respond publicly as I get so much joy from bouncing in and out of others conversations. It is the sillines that keeps me going personally, even if I am not involved, just reading. Guest guest
This may be a simple and humble opinion, but I think that one of the most precious things about our little group is the wonderful and diverse personalities one can find here. Each of us is a special and unique soul. We all have wonderfully unique likes and dislikes. So, to that end, I think those that are silly should keep being silly, and those that are serious should stay that way as well. Use the OT, silly people. We all need to let each of our special personalities shine through. All of us have someone we can help with our uniqueness. We need all of us to help, love, support, and inform each other. Guest guest
, Maybe I'm just getting old and stuffy! I don't know...I just blush too much about all the naked jokes...I'm just a nice religious girl! (lol) But I think you know I have a sense of humor! The funny thing is sometimes people use OT for things that really are on-topic for the group and don't use it for things that are really OT. ly, when I have " down-time " I often enjoy reading the jokes etc. So, whatever! Maybe we can just try to use OT when it really is OT... Take care,
Guest guest
> > > ! I don't see it as a division thing. I think if we are better about using the OT when it is, OT , which some of the newer folks may not be used to and some of us oldies,{ I have now given myslef oldie status...whatever! lol} have gotten lazy about then we can have the best of both worlds? What do people think? > >
Guest guest
That's Right Folks: Use the off Topic in the Subject Block, I am not trying to stop anyone from having good time or stopping the silliness as I said that humor is a good healer but use it responsibly and according to the rules of this forum. But when you send out a message that says " thanks hun " and that's it, it should be sent to the person it is meant for? I presently have over 700 people on this list and what would happen if they all sent a one liner like that at one time? Please folks just be a little more careful. I'm not trying to stop anything and we have been very lax the past few months. Thanks for your patience. Take care now and be PAIN FREE! Love Y all! Guest guest
.....OT gets my vote although, sometimes when I am a " serious " Stilligan, I throw in a few " silly " things. How do I get around that situation? xxoo Carmen
Guest guest
Carmen you are so funny. I don't think it's a problem to throw some humor in on your messages without the OT. It's just when everyone goes back and forth with many. Guest guest
Hi Carmen: Carmen Sweetie, I didn't mean for anyone to quit altogether. It's just that when we get to many it really messes up some peoples mail boxes. And please don't think your doing it for me as I am just as nuts as the next person but we have to keep this list and line running smoothly, so you are actually doing it for everyone and it is greatly appreciated!
