Guest guest
I mentioned yesterday that Evan had his appendix removed on Monday. I was a little worried about his asthma, but he seemed to be okay after surgery, except that he sounded very " croupy " . The ped said it was just from being intubated. The respiratory therapist gave him one of those contraptions to help prevent pneumonia and he's been using it very regularly - the novelty hasn't worn off yet! This morning he woke up and told me he needed his inhaler, I could tell he was struggling. He did two puffs of albuterol and an hour later still wasn't doing any better. I got out the nebulizer and did albuterol again and he finally coughed up some thick, yellow junk. He seems better at this point. Does anyone have any thoughts on what is going on? The Ped's office doesn't open for awhile. Thanks!
