My son looks like a boxer and a bad one at that.

I posted monday that has the mumps or a mumps like virus.

Well he continues to be in pain even after taking tylenol with

codeine. He started wailing at midnight and we were finally able to

get him stopped by 1:15 by taking him to the living room and turning

on Sprout. I ended up sleeping with him on the couch because that

was the only way to keep him from crying. Needless to say he and I

are exhausted and this worries me. How is he suppose to heal with

little or restless sleep. I had a dr appt for Thursday to recheck

but he informed me this morning that he needed to see Steffi (Dr.

) this morning. The ulcers have started on the upper

inside lip so nothing feels good to him. He is so swollen that you

can actually see them just by looking at him.

I asked about the magic mouthwash for his ulcers but the dentist

said he wouldn't tolerate it at his young age. Also I am waiting on

an answer from his Specialist about Kenalog with orabase.

Apparently the dentist doesn't have enough experience in immune

issues to say for sure if he can have it. It is a steroid and he's

worried about thrush. Seems everytime gets treated for an

ailment the medicine creates a whole new problem..Such is life I

guess.

Does anyone have suggestions on how to ease pain? I tried applying

warm compresses that was not a good idea to .

The doctor and I have a joke about family trips. It seems that

everytime We plan a family trip, gets sick. So we are suppose

to leave tomorrow to go out of town and thats becoming iffy as our

last 3 trips have done.

Well, we are off to the doctors and see if we can get anywhere.
