,

My daughter is the same exact way and is almost 7. We also have a presc. for

Zoloft. We use www.nativeremedies.com, mindsoothe, jr and purecalm. I have to

tell you that they work amazingly well for my children. When her anxietites are

not there, we do not use (like right now she is doing great), but we start again

when they come and within minutes she is calmer. I know others love Zoloft and

the SSRIs work great for them, too. Just wanted to tell you what works great

for us.

Good luck.

We have been taking my son (8 yrs old) to see a psychologist and

psychiatrist to figure out his anxieties, OCD-type symptoms,

ADHD...and whatever. About a month ago, he was really struggling.

Everything had to be just perfect or else he'd have a crying meltdown

and this was happening several times a day at home - at school he

holds it all in.

We got a prescription for Zoloft and he is supposed to start sometime

next week (I recently had surgery and wanted to be on my feet again

before we started meds)

Well, it almost seems like he's settled down now. This is common,

always has been since he was a toddler - he'll go days, weeks, months

without being anxious and then he'll come to a point where he's

anxious about everything. This makes me confused about medication.

I'd be interested to hear other experiences - if the anxieties come

and go and what you did about medication.
