Urrrrrgh. I just don't know whether to pursue this or not.

currently has profuse, watery diarrhea. Ya know, infectious-looking. I

would normally assume a GI virus and just treat the symptoms. But...

She has had milder symptoms for days -- thinking she needed to pass gas but

then soiling her underwear with loose stool, loose stools but not watery. I

don't think a full week passed before that since she's had similar symptoms. I

would chalk it up to her catching new GI viruses, But...

I have had some pretty continuous symptoms. Remember a couple/few weeks

back... I had had terrible heartburn, nausea and diarrhea. That went on for a

week

or so -- I could barely eat. I cut out all food except rice cakes, rice, tea,

water in order to prevent the nausea & heartburn symptoms. Then on like day 8,

I had profuse, watery diarrhea, the type where you start to feel dehydrated

already after just two episodes. That night I had a 102 fever. Next day felt

improved. I have never gotten back to 100% since then. A few days later I ate a

normal meal + ice cream cake + a glass of wine and had bloody stool the next

day, but the following day there was no blood so I let it go.

Since then, I still have a tricky tummy, I feel like I need to avoid dairy,

fried foods, etc., I don't eat big meals, no wine, etc.

and I both are gassier than usual (it's like stuck in there, it's not

like " Blazing Saddles " over here or anything), have to poop right after eating

anything, have nausea after that.

My thought is, could we both have Giardia? I have to figure out which doc to

call first (hers or mine) with which info.

(mom to , age 7, dairy intolerant-related GERD -- currently has

polysaccharide antibody def, previously had transient IgG, IgA, t-cell & other

defs... and also to Kate, age 3!, more dairy intolerant but very healthy!)
