Guest guest
Valarie: Oh, I'm sorry about the head wound!! We always use Bactroban on 's skin stuff, but I don't know about a big long wound, you'd have to ask. I'd assume they would want some antibiotic that works for skin like Keflex (ohhhh that's so hard on the tummy though), but maybe not. I DO know about the scarring, however -- my non-PID, Kate, has gotten three sets of stitches in her face for various injuries. First, DO use the antibiotic ointment to keep it moist and soft. Next, once it is healed, put sunscreen on that spot every single day without fail -- NEVER go out in the sun for even an instant without sunscreen. You have to do that for a whole year. For trips to the beach or whatever where you're out all day, I'd do a hat. Also, ask the doc first but once the wound is completely healed, get Mederma for Kids (I found it at Target). It makes scars fade. It's crazy expensive (like $18 for the tube) but the tube lasts forever -- a little dab'll do ya. Kate had 2nd (at least) degree burns on her arm from an unfortunate Hibachi incident (yes, she's my accident-prone one), and a biiiiiiig scar on her inner wrist -- with the Mederma you cannot even find it!!!!! Hope that helps -- (mom to , age 7, dairy intolerant-related GERD -- currently has polysaccharide antibody def, previously had transient IgG, IgA, t-cell & other defs... and also to Kate, age 3!, more dairy intolerant but very healthy!) And, most sunscreens do not adequately block UVA waves (there are lawsuits currently filed against manufacturers for false advertising). la has also been dealing with a mouth sore -- and I noticed broken blood vessels in the back of her mouth. Really odd. I am setting her up for an infusion at the moment and must run. I hope that 's infection is responsive to the abx and that she has a swift recovery. - I hope that your son's head heals without any complications. The tennis shoe shot confusion made me laugh -- though I understand was a sign of how confused your kiddo must have been. Poor little guy. Take care, mom to CVIDer

Guest guest
How about Liquid bandaids? Those are my favorite!!! No need worry about changing them. I sliced my finger really badly once...probably needed stitches, but liquid bandaide saved the day! osdbmom wrote: > here is another question about this.......I bought the super extra > tough stay put bandaids, since its crazy boy brennan that got hurt > LOL, and they do stay put really well, but they hurt coming off.
