Guest guest
Hi Superman, Thanks for the feedback. I had been moving. I try to go to the gym daily. I am still experimenting with that. At first I did 30 min of cardio and 30 of weights-too tired. So now I do 10 minutes of cardio and 20 minutes of weights-feels more manageable in terms of fatigue. Maybe its my diet? I eat organic whole grain cereal for breakfast, a meal drink(hi protein) for lunch and a light dinner-yogurt, cereal, sometimes other stuff like fish, etc.and a bedtime snack(bagel or something like it.) With the drop in my apetite I have an odd aversion to vegies! I drink a lot of coffee for the fatigue and to take the edge off my apetite. I also take lots of vitamins and drink water. Like I said my weights stable, but I'm growing! Suggestions? Guest guest
Hi , I think I started loosing the apetite somewhere between 8 and 6 of prednisone. I still get hungry occasionally, but most days, I can " forget " to eat. Like at 3 in the afternoon, I'll be trying to remember if I ate lunch-not me! And I used to live on salad-now, my stomach turns when I think about it. Very strange. I'm sure its med related. I don't worry about it, I get bummed though cause I thought I'd loose mega weight! Wrong! My butt is so big we could have a tea party on it (while I'm standing!) LOL. I think 's ideas are good ones-I'm going to try to alter what I'm eating-of course all I want is carbs! Maybe a modified Atkins type thing. Forgive me, I'm sure you've said this- but where are things at with your meds-could it be related? Guest guest
, Ummmm...the cadbury diet, interesting:)! I tried the Atkens lost 6lbs then started gaining and I didn't feel great on it. Maybe because I wasn't drinking enough water. I don't know how you can work FT and excercise and care for the kids! I'm up to 20 hours per week and need to work more financially but don't think I can take care of my health if I work more. I may have though, but I'll put it off as long as possible. How much have you lost onthe atkins? Guest guest
Carnation Brk Fst drinks are loaded with refined sugar and too many carbs. youd be better off eating some egg whites, a piece of fruit and 1 cup of low fat or skim milk. Less calories more nutrients. You have to eat. even if it is one egg, a half an apple (eat the other half in an hour) things like that. Keep the metabolism going. exercise can consist of walking, or somthing even easier then that, sit in a chair and rasie your left foot off the ground then your right and so on for 1 minute and rest a minute and repeat for 20 min or so while you watch TV. In a week or so increase the exercise time to 130min and rest time drop to 30 sec. things like that. What Im saying is do whatever you can do to burn some calories. Doing anything will make you feel better and results will come. Guest guest
Throw those eggs away!!! get all that stuff out of the house. If it isn't around you can't eat it. I work about 13-14 hrs a day. I get up around 0500 and workout from 0530-0730 and then go right to work. The early workout helps me with energy for the rest of the day, its the best time to train to burn fat, and I have less pain in the mornings. Reward yourself with a walk, or a movie or send me an email :-) Sm >From: <cynthia@...> >Reply-Stillsdisease >Stillsdisease >Subject: Re: Superman-ideas? >Date: Wed, 7 May 2003 10:31:51 -0700 (PDT) > > > > > right, > >My big thing was to get off the sugar crutch.
