Guest guest
I always go back to pilates when I break my toe or have feet trouble, so today I went with a's most favorite instructor, Winsor. I went with her beginners Sculpting Circle workout, because I know this gadget is effective! I totally felt this " beginner " workout - you do the traditional pilates stuff, but squeezing the pilates circle between your legs or arms to make it extra hard. Loved this! It was around a half hour long, and I look forward to doing the advanced one soon! Next I did Winsor's Ball workout (thanks, Cola Pop!!!) and this was GREAT! This was 50 minutes long, and as with the sculpting circle, you do the typical pilates exercises but using the ball for extra resistance. My core is sore already from both of these today. Lastly, I attempted Powers' Meditation practice from her Insight Yoga dvd. Well, I mostly failed. This is a perfect practice for someone who has never meditated before and needs assistance, but there is too much talking in it, in my opinion. Really meditation is about being silent, maybe with quiet music to relax the mind but 's instruction for me was interruptive. It was around a half hour long, maybe a little longer. I had candles lit and incense burning in my studio and felt cozy for sure, but don't feel that I received a quality meditative practice from it. Because of my broken toe I won't be able to do legs with Noel as I had hoped on Tuesday because you press up and put pressure on the feet to some extent on the machines, so it will be back and biceps for Tuesday. Tomorrow's workout will be Marina's favorite, the original Buns of Steel (OW OW OW) with Greg ey, the olympic pole vaulting champion, and a stretch routine by the same instructor. These butt exercises are all toe friendly, and this video is a RIOT what with the Lionel Ritchie lookalike and porn star looking dude in the back. It is also very hard - I often wonder who would last longest in a Glutes Off competition, Mari Winsor or Greg ey. It's really hard to say! Both kill me! While I hate having a broken toe AGAIN on the same toe, it does force me to do pilates, which is always humbling to say the least.
