Guest guest Posted January 2, 2010 Report Share Posted January 2, 2010 Well we had out first gym visit. Terry IMO over did it on the treadmill. He was on for an hour and ran a good portion of the time ---WITHOUT water. Of course, he's right , I'm wrong blah blah blah. We'll see if he's actually up for a workout tomorrow. I mostly want to utilize the gym for weight training and for Terry heart health issues. I warmed up on the elliptical for 20 minutes and then did about 30 min of weight machine work. The GoWear Fit just doesn't seem to register either activity very well. I've noticed this before and its very frustrating. My RPE will be higher than some of my easiest videos and my calorie burn will be MUCH lower. It says I only burned 300 calories from start to finish. I was really pushing the elliptical on a high resistance, pushing the arm handles and going at a good clip. The machine itself which was monitoring my heart rate asked for my weight and age put my calorie burn at 70 higher than my GoWear. Hmmmm I didn't go all out heavy on the weights. I mostly wanted to start getting familiar with the equipment. Some of the machines were new to me, others were angled different or operated differently than I had seen before. Pretty good gym for the money though! Not crowded, and its Jan 2nd! I hope to get some more cardio in tonight. :-) a Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
