Guest guest
morning all, last night managed a short yoga workout with quick fix yoga/pilates mix doing yoga flex. its a pretty nice flow for stretched based yoga. very easy to follow along with if you know your yoga poses.i didn't notice much with the workout, just focused on the routine. this morning needed to take down the intensity a bit, just tired wasn't feeling all there so i did total body cardio from gaiam. this is led by by tanja djelevic. she does the cardio balance ball workout i have. i enjoyed that so much then when this one was at totalfitnessdvds.com under the used/returns for a couple bucks i decided to snatch it up. it wasn't as good as her balance ball one which is cardio with toning through the workout. this was more or less a longer 8 min warm up with 10 min. of leg cardio/pylometric work. it was good but short. if she added another 3-5 min i think it would have been better. the rest of the workout is upper body and core focused. she doesn't use weights for the faster movements but i picked up 5lb and it worked quite well although with back i have to remember to grab heavier. the rest is balance work and pilates style matwork. nothing overly new exciting but it felt fresh with the moderate pacing and the outdoor scenery. they exercised in an open green field but with snow capped mountains in the background. the box says filmed in utah. it was a good intensity for today, was able to give it my all modifying up at most points but it didn't totally wipe me out for the day. its a straight to the point moves not fancy footwork just good old athletic style moves mixed with pilates style abs a good find if you get it under $8 but i wouldn't spend a lot more on this b/c its just a prettier version of a lot of other basic workouts out there. kassia
