On occasion frozen dinners are okay, but I would try to stay away from processed foods as much as possible. Not only is the sodium an issue, but preservatives as well.

I often use these. They are convenient for work. I just keep a

bunch in the freezer. I am careful to monitor the carbs and if

they're a little too high, I'll leave some rice/pasta/potatoes on the

plate.

They can be a lifesaver.

Frozen dinners do have the portion control element, which is handy, and all the " nutrition " information is right there.  If it works for you, then great!I bought some Lean Cusine pizza recently because I thought it looked reasonable calorie and fat wise but it tasted like cardboard.  My gripe about frozen dinners is that they are often full of preservatives and aren't used from good quality food most of the time though there are some gourmet brands that do.  However, I don't want to pay the gourmet price for them.

With a pita bread, my own marina sauce, fat free cheese, onions, tomatos and a few olives I have a much tastier pizza for around the same calories and less fat.  Takes just a few minutes to make and clean up. Plus it's cheap!

I thought it was interesting too. My experience has been that most people lose weight when they quit the dinners (using them once or twice a week at most, if that even) because all the sodium in them was causing them to retain water. I guess it depends on what your home cooked meals are like though!

I don't do the drinks either so I don't have a clue about them myself.

Hi Jen,

I don't use those drinks, so I have no idea. That's interesting about the dinners.
