Happy dancing with you!!

I have had a very difficult past 2 weeks and my tracking is way off,, no exercise last week but my eating has been overall in control too. My pants are looser though so just for the heck of it I stepped on the scale in the middle of the day (after 2 meals and lots of water and diet coke) and found I was down .6 from last week so had I weighed in this morning I'm thinking it might have been closer one solid pound. Even where it was at 3:30 this afternoon I'm .8 under my New Year's goal and abou 1.2 - 2.2 from my really want to be again goal. Feeling in control is soooo good isn't it?

You're doing so awesome, ! I love your sharing your progress, including the challenges & victories with us. You're inspiring everyone, especially in the midst of the holiday craziness! Way to go!! (Happy dancing burns even more calories too!)

Today I am so happy. Somehow I managed to lose 3.2 pounds this week, that hasn't happened for awhile. I had wanted to be in the 180's by New Year's but I have only been losing about a pound a week lately so I figured it would be the end of the month but I made it. Today I weighed in at 189.4 I had started at 224 on Sept. 1 so that is a total of 34.6 pounds lost. I haven't even been exercising like I should due to illness but I have had my eating under control. I am doing the happy dance now.

I hope so. My life has been absolutely insane the last few weeks but, despite some emotional eating, overall, it has been good. I'm starting to bake now though so we'll see how good it stays... :-)

  • 3 weeks later...

Yesterday was my first day back to work in two weeks. I managed to work out most days of my vacation. It felt so good at work yesterday, 6 different people came up and told me that Iooked good with my weight loss. I still have a long ways to go, but it's the little boosts like that one that gets me through it. This morning while getting ready for work I put on a shirt I didn't think would fit me but it did and actually I finally could see a difference. I do look better if I do say so myself. This morning I am down 1.6 pounds from last Tuesday. I am now at 186.2 for a total of 37.8 pounds lost. My Mom is coming this evening for a visit from Oregon so I will make tonite my nite to not do exercise as I won't have time. We are changing offices at work today so I will be really busy moving today. Last nite I did my mini trampoline work out but I found that I was so much more tired after working all day than when I was on vacation. I found myself just trying to get through it and not giving it my all as I was so tired, but at least I did something. Have a great day everyone.

, I understand. My job is a little flexible so I can work out before work on Monday, Wednesday & Friday. Tuesdays & Thursdays use to be a struggle, but now I have to go straight home do my workout then go to WalMart:). It is the sacrifice you make for that "Fabulous" feeling of when you put that sweater on and there are no back rolls:). Keep pushing. I think the South is learning slowly compared to the rest of the country regarding healthy living, which requires exercise & eating right, but a few us down here band together & support each other. Great job, ! It is a major challenge to integrate exercise into a workday, but you're proving that there's a huge payoff. On Tue, Jan 5, 2010 at 6:29 AM, Navarro <navarrosarah@...> wrote:

Chin up , you are in it for the long haul!!  I doubt one meal did it to you...  Sometimes our bodies hit plateaus.  I would throw one or two higher intensity workouts in there to try to shake things up a bit.  Stay determined, you're doing great!

Sorry I haven't posted much lately but I am trying to spend less time on the computer.  Since yesterday was a holiday I went ahead and took today off also so I slept in a little later.   I hate these furloughs pay wise but I least I get 3 extra days off every month.   I did weigh in today but I stayed exactly the same at 183.8.  This is the first time ever that I didn't lose any weight and I really don't like this feeling.  I am going to be bummed out all week now.  My eating is good for the most part,  I did have one really bad meal this week, I guess that's what it is.  I also need to pick up the exercise.  I have been working out, but I need to do more.  I will try harder this week,  I have to see a loss next Tuesday or I will be really angry with myself.  Have a great day everyone.

183 is excellent , and most of us experience plateaus at some point or another.  I'd try doing a workout you don't normally do and try going up in weights for your strength training workouts.  You want to lift til you cannot physically do one more rep.  When you fail in this way, you succeed.

You are doing so well, please keep posting! On Tue, Jan 19, 2010 at 8:16 AM, Navarro <navarrosarah@...> wrote:
