Guest guest
Great job with the workout, and awesome about a white christmas! I can't imagine it any other way!DarcyOn Fri, Dec 18, 2009 at 6:27 AM, Donna M-P <donna112520@...> wrote: Hi Everyone!I did Metaboost with Heidi Tanner this morning, as usual, a good one. I'm glad I concentrated on these so much this month, I feel that my " performance " each time is better and I get more out of the exercises. I like how there is a real focus on engaging the glutes! I followed up with the Sport Stretch from Perfect in 10 Stretch. In this one Annette Fletcher focused on stretches for tennis, golf, and running. You don't have to participate in those sports to get a benefit form this section, though. The golf/tennis stretches had some good range of motion exercises of twisting to each side. She then added an OWIE! stretch for the shoulder/forarms. My - are my wrists tight - to do this exercise you place one hand flat palmed against a wall, stand at arms length and slightly rotate your feet out. I hope I'm explaining it properly but it really hit the forearm/wrist. I never realized how tight I am in that area - I will have to make a point of doing that stretch often. I guess it should be a surprise since I use a computer so much for work and keeping up with my lists! My wrists/forearms felt great aftewards though. The last series of stretchs are for the legs/hips for runners - nothing unusual here, just your basic lunge style stretch with different variations - back knee down, back knee straight, lean back to stretch hamstring on front leg, arms over head, rotate to the side, etc. So far I am liking this DVD and I got a notice that her Joint Mobility DVD shipped - I'll add it to my Xmas package! Hope everyone has a good Friday - we're suppsed to get a major snowstorm here - up to 12 inches - we may actually have a white Christmas - I don't think in the 11 years we have lived here that has ever happened! Take care!Donna
Guest guest
Great workouts, Donna! I love how you're seeing improvement with the workouts too. I need to go back and catch up on your other posts about the Heidi Tanner and other workouts, they sound very interesting. The stretch is also interesting. I haven't thought a lot about my forearm/wrist either. Tamilee has a stretch for that (standing, not against a wall though) in her standing routine on her stretch DVD. It feels good but I never think about it unless I'm doing that video. Enjoy the white Christmas! It is green with patches of white from previous snow here and I don't think we're expecting more snow before Christmas. I love driving around looking at Christmas lights but it is so much nicer with snow (for just a week or so, then I'm done with it)! Guest guest
I have to say that I've never heard of Heidi Tanner. Gonna have to check that out! Congrats on the possible white Christmas, this will be my first Christmas in Seattle from living in the midwest my whole life. People are telling me not to hold my breath for a white Christmas here.. it rarely snows. ____ > > Hi Everyone! > > I did Metaboost with Heidi Tanner this morning, as usual, a good one. Guest guest
I love that arm stretch. I learned that one from a physical therapist a long time ago. I was having trouble with my hands, arms, and upper back.
