Brew set-up ?

Hi all,

I just started my first kombucha brew this evening and was having a hard

time finding a baby-proof, dark place to put the jar. I ended up using a

dark t-shirt as the cover for the top and let the rest of the shirt hang

over the jar, so no light would get in. I put the whole set up on top of

the refrigerator. It seemed like a good solution to me but I'm very new at

this and really have no idea what I'm doing. Will that work out okay, or

does it need at least some light?
