What exercises did you do in this workout? JenFrom: Darcy Ledman <exercise.junkie@...>Subject: Cardio Core CircuitCathe_Friedrich_Fans , "" < >, workout.notes@...Date: Tuesday, December 29, 2009, 9:42 PM

I attempted this workout today, and I can surely attest that it is tuff stuff! I liked it quite a bit, but was hesitant to go all-out on the drills not knowing what I was getting myself into fully! A lot of the core exercises still kept my heart rate up. But I welcomed them! I burned over 500 calories (drawing a blank on exact), with my average being 138.

I got in quite a bit of housework today, and stayed busy all day..also trained. Tomorrow, the same is on the agenda but with a trip to wal-mart as well to get a few things and some throw rugs for my living room! My carpet is in bad shape and DH says not until the boys are bigger that we get new carpet... so.. I'll just spend some money on carpet patches..ha. .ha.. :) I'm so tired of looking at it!

I also have major DOMS from yesterday's 1RMs. I was planning on doing more tomorrow, but I'm not sure I will be able to work to my fullest capability! UGH. Darcy

There's a large variety Jen.  Lots of high impact drills basically.  You can watch clips on collage if that would help.  I'm sure you'd be better off then me trying to explain... And my memory is very short, that was like 3 workouts ago..LOL..

Good Lord!  I'm getting winded just reading this, !  YOU ARE MY HERO!  Thanks so much for writing down the drills - I really like knowing what a workout entails if I haven't done it myself. I hope you got a good stretch in after that!

Hi,

This evening I decided to do a second workout.  I'm starting to feel like Darcy.

I wanted to finally see if I could do cardio core circuit.  I did the entire workout.  I can tell you without hesitation I do not want to do this workout again lol.  It was HARD.  Hard is too mild of a word for it, really.    I'm not saying I won't do this workout again, but I will have to really talk myself into it.  I'd rather do any Imax, any day then this one.   What is up with her wanting to roll on the floor?  ugh....

I got the breakdown of the routine as good as I could so here it is.

Warm up

Round One:

cardio drill 1 (squat digs)

cardio drill 2 (mountain climbers)

cardio drill 3 (lateral jumps)

repeat cardio drills 1, 2 and 3

Core floor training- Knee ins ( 2 sets of 8)

Round Two:

cardio drill 1 (two jumps into a squat thrust and then jumping jack)

cardio drill 2 (Sumo squats)

cardio drill 3 (Lateral slides)

Repeat cardio drills 1, 2 & 3

Core floor training- Triangle choke hold (rolling back and coming up on your knees)

Round Three:

cardio drill 1 (air jacks)

cardio drill 2 (leg side leg knee)

cardio drill 3 (split jumps)

Core Floor training- Butterfly sit ups

Round Four:

cardio drill 1 (lateral jumps w/tuck)

cardio drill 2 (grounded switches)

cardio drill 3 (squat, drop & roll) modify: 4 jacks into 2 plyos

Core floor training- cross body pushups

Round Five:

cardio drill 1 (standing " T " jumps)

cardio drill 2 (double hop around mat. High knee job in place)

cardio drill 3 (straight high kicks)

Core floor training- roll back & up into a pushups

Round four is what hurt me the most.  I was breathless throughout the ENTIRE workout, but four kicked it up even more.  I think when I do this workout again I'll do the drills one time through.  My God, once is enough anyway.

I think what kept me going (I told this) is that Cathe's older then me and she could do it so I could do it too.    (not)!!!!!

I burned 460 calories.  I'm done until Sunday, I think.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Maybe you would judge it a little differently if it were your first workout of

the day ;-)

Very admirable!
