Aww, thank you !  Yes, using the 45 is torturous as times..LOL!!!  But, remember I surely didn't start with it either, I was able to build up.  One of my clients, who wighs 115 pounds ended up getting pretty fluent with the 35 kettlebell!  She could have used a 40 on some things, but I didn't have one to offer!  I'm afriad if I got a 40, Mr. 45 wouldn't get used much!  LOL..

That's inspiring about your client, Darcy! The weather here could be treacherous tonite and if so Marina won't be coming over.  If that is the case I'd really like to do a kbell workout, and I'm torn as to which one.  Part of me wants to do the Firm's dvd where you use a 5 pounder, Transfirm your Trouble Zones for the cardio in it and more traditional workout structure, but another part of me wants to slobber over Pavel and do his slower, more methodic learn one exercise at a time from Enter the Kettlebell.

My lower back is also telling me I need to do some back care yoga. It so helps when a friend comes over, because I otherwise might slack.  MUST NOT SLACK TONITE!  PS  does anyone know if the Firm has or will come out with other kettlebell workouts?

Do you have Enter the Kettlebell DVD or book, ? I looked at the book at Borders and I'm pretty tempted. I can see learning Kbells a little at a time and getting to the point where you make up your own routines. I also do have two Kbell DVDs - Iron Core (?) that i got at Target - maybe I can use those to learn a few moves?Take care,

Donna

That's what I'm hoping, but if not I found a website that will send them to you, free shipping!I like the ultimate kbell ones, and the prices are comparable to what I've seen elsewhere:http://www.power-systems.com/p-4073-ultra-kettlebells.aspx

Hi Donna,I have the Enter the Kettlebell dvd but not the book.  I only watched part of it but what I liked is the he shows you one basic move at a time.  Other dvd's I've looked at go right into more complicated stuff like Turkish getups and such, I'm a newbie and really need the basics right now!

I thought of you during one of them, where he shows you a face the wall squat!

Whatever kettlebells you guys get, make sure and review before purchasing!  There are a ton of different kettlebells out there and they do vary in construction and size. l have maybe 4 or 5 different brands, and my favorite, BY FAR, are the Ader Premiers..  I also like the apollos that Play it Again Sports have and they are CHEAP!!!!!!!!  :)  If you have one of those near you, I recommend you check them out!

Good to know - thanks for the shopping tip Darcy!  I'll look and see!  I don't have a car so the idea of free shipping is looking good to me but maybe I can bat my eyelashes and get a ride from someone out to the burbs where these kinds of stores are!

I thought of you when I saw the uber heavy kbells they have on that site!  For when you need a Monsieur 80 pounder!

Hi ,

You are smart to take it slow - I think these moves have great rehab potential, but also great injury potential if performed improperly!

Oh my.  I'm 99.9% certain I won't ever be touching and 80 pounder!!!!  LOL..I would go on to VF or somewhere and see if you can find some reviews about power systems bells.  If I am remembering correctly, they don't get that great of reviews.  You have to be careful with the size of the handles, for one thing.  Some are uncomfortably wide and hard to hold on to.

Anyway, I look forward to hearing more!DarcyOn Wed, Dec 30, 2009 at 3:47 PM, Pink Pussycat <pinkpussycat@...> wrote:
