Guest guest
morning all, just wasn't in video mood this morning but decided to try my new toy,gym boss interval timer(http://www.gymboss.com) i watched their you tube vid to set up the timer and it was easy to pick up. so i did 1 min work 40 sec rest for 2 sets each exercisestarted with right sidesnatchone arm swingclean/pressthen moved to left same thing and alternated until each was done 2x each side. for ab focused i did 30 sec work 30 sec rest b/c TGU are hard for me and i burn out on abs easy enough TGUroll upsopposite arm/legi also through is a few rounds of push ups and crunches for 30 sec on 30 sec off for 3 sets each exercise. my totalfitnessdvds.com order came in. so i may save up the energy to try an all the right moves dvd. to be warned though these are dvd-r b/c this trainer does mostly down loadable workouts with iTrain. for the price though i thought it would be worth it since i rotate my barre workouts. for the gymboss if you like this type of training i recommend this highly. i found just with this workout it was worth the money spent and to think this could work for anything you want to time from cardio intervals, your own weight/cardio circuit, kettlebells, standard MMA drills, boot camps. i got mine in cute pink, i know seems to depart from the personality but i think that is what will get ppl asking in the gym whats on my waistband. its pretty small i was surprised but i was doing crunches with it clipped on and it wasn't in the way or uncomfortable at all. best present i got i think. kassia
Guest guest
Kassia, I've been watching quite a few kettlebell workouts lately and they seem to be very drill like as you describe. Your review has me jonesing to use my kettlebells, but I'm determined to finish my Slim Series rotation first. Ug! I totally have the hots for Pavel Tsatsouline!Kettlebell Envy,
Guest guest
he is a pretty good looking man you could add in swings for cardio effect and its great practice for the foundation move just add it on to other workouts or while you are watching tv. its how i started one exercise at a time until the foundations were complete then i really started bringing in the snatch and cleans. if you go to http://www.totalfitnessdvds.com and look for art of strength you can watch some long clips of their videos for ideas of more exercises. i had one that i traded, it went quickly but he comes up with amazing routines, just a bit expensive. actually she carries a lot of kettlebell workout dvds you can get some more ideas from. kassiaFrom: Pink Pussycat <pinkpussycat@...>Subject: Re: gymboss kettlebell workout Date: Wednesday, December 30, 2009, 12:08 PM Kassia, I've been watching quite a few kettlebell workouts lately and they seem to be very drill like as you describe. Guest guest
Hi Kassia! Please do tell about the ALTRM DVDs - I am eyeing them on the sale, too - isn't the slae over tomorrow? Yikes. I'd better decide! My gymboss is pink, too and I used it for run/walk intervals! I thumbed through Pavel's book at Borders yesterday - may have to break down and get it and work my way through some kbell exercises since I have a 15 lb kbell already!Donna From: Kassia <ldy_solana@...>Subject: gymboss kettlebell workout Date: Wednesday, December 30, 2009, 11:34 AM morning all, just wasn't in video mood this morning but decided to try my new toy,gym boss interval timer(http:/ /www.gymboss. com) i watched their you tube vid to set up the timer and it was easy to pick up. so i did 1 min work 40 sec rest for 2 sets each exercisestarted with right sidesnatchone arm swingclean/pressthen moved to left same thing and alternated until each was done 2x each side. for ab focused i did 30 sec work 30 sec rest b/c TGU are hard for me and i burn out on abs easy enough TGUroll upsopposite arm/legi also through is a few rounds of push ups and crunches for 30 sec on 30 sec off for 3 sets each exercise. my totalfitnessdvds. com order came in. so i may save up the energy to try an all the right moves dvd. to be warned though these are dvd-r b/c this trainer does mostly down loadable workouts with iTrain. for the price though i thought it would be worth it since i rotate my barre workouts. for the gymboss if you like this type of training i recommend this highly. i found just with this workout it was worth the money spent and to think this could work for anything you want to time from cardio intervals, your own weight/cardio circuit, kettlebells, standard MMA drills, boot camps. i got mine in cute pink, i know seems to depart from the personality but i think that is what will get ppl asking in the gym whats on my waistband. its pretty small i was surprised but i was doing crunches with it clipped on and it wasn't in the way or uncomfortable at all. best present i got i think. kassia
