Guest guest
Marina came over and we went with Donna's FitPrime Flex Posture. I must say after all the harsh criticism of this dvd I was expecting something more " out there " . Outside of the " There's no place like home " comment/cue for the grasshopper move Marina and I thought it was pretty normal, but Marina and I are kind of freaky so maybe that's why it didn't seem so out of the ordinary? This isn't a big calorie burner but is a pleasant one for a lighter days workout. There are lots of props and in usual Firm style you never know what's coming up - that's the fun in these workouts, it's the variety! This one uses a high step or chair, a dowel (we used my barbell sans weights and the Amp'd Bar instead but there's a woman who uses a broom), a yoga block, handweights, and a yoga mat. I would call this a pilates fusion workout that has light cardio with weights thrown in. I thought it flowed just fine, and I liked the music quite a bit considering other stuff I've heard in Firm workouts. We ended with a very nice for the back 15 minute practice called Good Night from Barbara Benaugh's Essential flow Yoga for Every Body, and is again the model. You basically lie in cobblers' pose, do supine leg and hip stretches, sit in half lotus, and there's a very nice shavasana. Just what my tired bod needed! Hope everyone has a nice weekend! Guest guest
Hi - I'm glad you enjoyed htis one! I will also have to give that Goodnight Practice, sounds excellent. Flex Posture is actually growing on me... Oh, and the music in these re-made FitPrimes and their companion (Kickbutt) workouts are all very good!
