Yoga and Turbo Kick (Round 38?)

I've been in Maui for a week.  My eating hasn't been too too terrible but I feel my cardio and strength slipping away.  I took 2 flights of stairs and hiked up some stairs at a park yesterday and my calves are sore today - wow, I'm used to doing a lot more flights at work to get the same amount of soreness.

I was wanting to do Body Pump when I got back but my back is still a little bit stiff so I'd better be good and change my plans.  I'm thinking I will get up at 4:00 since it's getting dark early now and do yoga before work.  I will alternate a challenging yoga day with an easier yoga day.  I have 4 Eoin Finn dvd sets so maybe I could do his longer, 80 minute practices on one day and and easier one the next day.

I am scheduled to teach Turbo Kick on November 1st so I will need to start practicing in the evenings after work when I get home, going low impact etc to see how my back does with it.  I also need to rebuild my abdominal strength and will need to do Ab Ripper 200 like EVERY DAY or a Turbo Kick ab segment. The new routine, Round 38, is coming out very soon and I will be expected to teach it.  If I don't have R38 by then I will teach an oldie, Round 12.

Another thing I'd like to do later on is maybe run on the dreadmill or elliptikill during lunch at work for 20-30 minutes to help train for the Shamrock Run in March so that I won't have shinsplints halfway through the race this time.  I just need to be able to run 5k - that's not that far, should totally be doable. Last year I over trained, ran too much too soon on the days I ran.  I want to be smarter this time and work up gradually.

Hope everyone is having a good Friday!
