Guest guest
Yesterday was a mess - windy, cold & rain so I stayed inside but today's lovely so out I go. As I was having my coffee, I looked out the kitchen to plan my afternoon. Imagine my surprise to see a LARGE SKUNK digging in my garden!!! I thought they were nocturnal but there he was, digging up lunch. I decided to work in the front garden even though SpYke wanted to go out & greet the new arrival. I had pulled up a bunch of weeds & checked the back - I couldn't see the skunk so I thought he'd left. Out I go to the back yard to dump the weeds on the compost heap & see what damage the skunk had done. I was ten feet from the garden when the skunk got up from his nap & started stamping his pretty little feet at me. I set a new record getting back to the front of the house. He's still out there. Somebody up there doesn't want me in the back garden. SuZiegail <gaila@...> wrote: That sounds like something Spyke would do.He is your son. I got all ready to go trim raspberries back - they only produce berries on last years growth & die so you have to prune them each spring. Raspberries are very prickly so there I am in long sleeves & sweat pants & gloves. I took SpYke out with me cause he loves to run around in the back yard when the grass is long & the dandelions are blooming. I had pruned maybe 3 stalks off when SpYke gives this plaintive little "meow". I look over & there he sits all tangled up in the raspberries. It took me half an hour to untangle him, I'm all scratched up & just as I was freeing him, it started to rain ! Somebody up there doesn't like me. Lovely day isn't it?
